Squamous Cell Ointment review
Our mid twenties Clydie/Percheron x presented with what initially was thought to be proudflesh but after further testing turned out to be SCC on his hind leg just near his chestnut. It can't be removed due to where it is situated and the lack of margins so the suggestion from our vets (who are good) was to send off the histology and photos to a vet in the UK and he would put together a chemotherapy ointment or a plan of action. This was quoted at between $1000-$2000 after the bill of vet visit, histology etc of $1200. As I tend to do with all diagnoses with our horses (we have 16) I then rang Cath and talked to her about Billy. She was, as always so informative and helpful and we chose to go down the path of McDowells Squamous Cell Carcinoma ointment and applications of Colloidal Silver etc. It did exactly what we were hoping for and we are so pleased. I apply it daily/twice daily if I have the time and what was a tumour the size of a small 3D quail egg reduced in quick time to what is now a flattened 50 cent piece. It is easy to apply, and due to where it is, bandaging was fraught with issues so I spray Aluminium 'bandage' spray on it. To get a diagnosis of Cancer for one of our horses and for then to see such results so quickly, has been awesome.
