This formulation has evolved from a consideration of the dangers of administering phenylbutazone (Bute) routinely to horses sensitive to its side effects. Traditionally White Willow Bark and Devils Claw were used to manage pain. Guaiacum was traditionally used for Gout and Burdock as a blood cleanser for Rheumatoid processes. Maritime Pine Bark, Rosehips, Elecampane with its Allantoin content , together with Yarrow in a Vinegar base all support and encourage repair.
This formulation may be used safely for both emergencies and in the long term for comfort.
The tonic will need to be given continuously for a minimum of 3 weeks, and can be maintained long term if necessary. Improvements are usually observed within 3-6 weeks on the tonic.

Alleviate, Infect-A-Clear, Tendon & Bone
My 23 yr old Thoroughbred Mare suffered a very bad cut to her Fetlock, slicing though her tendon. Vet was sceptical that we may have to have her put down. After a week or so, the stiches were busted, the wound was infected, and I could see this was not going to end well. I contacted Cath, and she suggested we get her on Tendon & Bone, Infect-A-Clear, and Alleviate. It did take several weeks to start to make a difference, but 4 months later, she’s a different horse, she’s back to her old self able to run, without any problems. I honestly think we would not be at this point if it wasn’t for these products.

6 months ago my Shetland pony ( 24 yrs) was very arthritic and very lean and difficult to keep condition on him, since being on Alleviate his put on weight and moving around like a young pony. So happy with this product iv just ordered my second bottle.

Love this product
I use Alleviate for my 33yo Arabian gelding for his arthritis and can't believe the difference it has made to him. He can canter around the paddock now and puts in the odd pigroot and half rear, very obviously feeling good. Will be using this product on the rest of our horses that look like they need some help as they age.

Alleviate together with Infect-A-clear
I have been using both products now roughly 10 months, my mare was prone to hoof abcesses and with the last lot she had 2 on the front right and 3 on the right back, my poor girl could not walk. I had 2 vets opinions and both suggested that i euthanize her. She still had a lot to give. I wasn't ready to give up, and to crown it all her right front foot had rotated. I did my online consultation and was recommended Alleviate, Infect-A-clear, kelp and millet. I also changed my barefoot trimmer. Well, 10 months later, no abcesses, foot looks nearly normal and she is sound and being lightly ridden. I can't thank McDowell herbs enough. The vet laughed when I told him what I was doing, said he didn't believe in my hocus pocus. Well I still have my beautiful chestnut mare, hocus pocus and all.

Alleviate effectiveness
We found the Alleviate lowered the inflammation and reduced the pain with founder for our mare, she was able to go off the phenylbutazone the vet had recommended and the alleviate kept the pain under control.

Severe arthritis 23yr old minor improvement on cartrophene but now into 3rd course alleviate galloping around with 29 yr old mum, also highly recommend Faith the hoof lady ☺

unexplained lameness
I have been using Alleviate for 12 months now and couldn't live without it. My horse had been suffering with a very low grade unsoundness which was driving me mad as I am an Equine Bodyworker, after a work up from an equine vet it was decided that he had some inflammation that was causing his problem. I called Catherine as I was already using several of her products and we added Alleviate into the mix. My horse is now 100% sound. This product has been a very important addition to his recovery, alongside other products Liquid Tendon and Bone and Equigesta pre.

Excellent
I use Alleviate on one of my horses for laminitus and found it works a treat, also find that their products are easy to use and directions are plain and simple to follow. packaging is also good. delivery is fast to.i certainly recommend there products not just for horse other animals and humans :)
