This formulation has evolved from a consideration of the dangers of administering phenylbutazone (Bute) routinely to horses sensitive to its side effects. Traditionally White Willow Bark and Devils Claw were used to manage pain. Guaiacum was traditionally used for Gout and Burdock as a blood cleanser for Rheumatoid processes. Maritime Pine Bark, Rosehips, Elecampane with its Allantoin content , together with Yarrow in a Vinegar base all support and encourage repair.
This formulation may be used safely for both emergencies and in the long term for comfort.
The tonic will need to be given continuously for a minimum of 3 weeks, and can be maintained long term if necessary. Improvements are usually observed within 3-6 weeks on the tonic.

Used for Laminitis
Cath recommended Alleviate for my pony who was experiencing early laminitis. I noticed that she was more comfortable within 2 hours of her first dose. I gradually reduced the dosage over one week and in that time, the bounding pulse and heat in her hooves had gone, as had the lameness. Great product!

Essential Product
I would not be without Alleviate in my kit where my ponies show signs of any discomfort due to a laminitic episode. I use it while the causes of the sudden lameness is addressed. It is a safe and effective alternative to Butamole, where there is the great potential of adverse side effects.

Product To Always Have On Hand
I would not be without Alleviate in my kit where my ponies show signs of any discomfort mainly due to a laminitic episode. I use it while the any causes of the sudden lameness is addressed. I am not a fan of the Butamole alternative due to the nasty side effects possible with ongoing use.

Brilliant pain relief and tonic
We have used Alleviate for a number of years now with great success for pain management in our horses for a wide variety of ailments and injuries. As it's a herbal treatment it is by far the best treatment for abscesses because, it's my understanding, that 'bute' can hinder the abscess from coming through. Using Alleviate helps the horse with pain and aids, not interferes, with the body's natural healing. I know for a fact that it works really well because I take it myself for chronic shoulder pain and whilst it takes a little while to kick in, it addresses the pain so successfully as well as feels like a very healthy 'pick me up' and tonic :) A wonderful product.

Valuable Product
Alleviate is a product I always have on hand as a 'must have' whenever my laminitic pony shows signs of foot discomfort. This product, with it's valuable herbal formulation, negates the use of Butamol, given other important management practices are adhered to.

I have a QH mare who has sensitive hooves, thin soles, deep digital tendon tension & slight rotation, so is currently undergoing serious corrective shoeing. I believe the Alleviate, used with Tendon & Bone, has helped control her discomfort & increased recovery time-frame post new shoes. I will continue to use Alleviate going forward. Totally Recommend!

Great Product
I have a 21 year old pony whose has foundered in the past. He always seems to be sore footed. Since using alleviate I have seen a big improvement in him.
