Golden Staph Ointment
Product Information
Description
This powerful, topical salve contains herbs that act as a natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal barrier. The main ingredient, calendula, is a naturally occurring antibiotic and anti-fungal cream derived from the Marigold plant (Calendula officinalis). It can be used to fight mild cases of infection.Â
The ointment also contains golden seal, which has antibacterial properties and has traditionally been used to ease inflammation, with berberine, hydrastine, and canadine being found in the highest concentrations.
Golden staph is a potentially fatal disease caused by bacteria and can be spread by touching infected surfaces or via skin contact. Golden staph can cause a range of mild to severe infections. Excessive use of antibiotics has led to drug-resistant strains of it and it may be a topical or internal infection. It may include inflammation, ulceration, break down of tissue and/or poisoning of the blood stream.
