A nourishing blend of herbs traditionally used to support healthy bones, ligaments, tendons, and cartilage. Formulated to assist recovery after physical stress or injury while helping maintain strong, resilient connective tissue. This formula contains nutrient-dense ingredients including millet and horsetail, natural sources of organic silica and magnesium that contribute to bone and tissue structure. Horsetail is also traditionally valued for its anti-inflammatory, astringent, and tissue-supporting properties. Linseed provides natural nourishment for connective tissue and is a whole-food source of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, including linoleic acid. Kelp supplies a broad spectrum of trace minerals—including calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, phosphorus, and sodium—that support normal bone health. Yarrow has traditionally been used to help manage tissue swelling and inflammation while supporting healthy circulation and bone marrow function.

How do I use it?
DIRECTIONS: Remove 2 litre activator from bucket. For ease of mixing, decant half the dry mix into another bucket or bag and keep aside. Mix the remaining dry mix with 1 litre of the activator to make a mash. Repeat the process with the other dry mix when required.
DOSAGE: Mix into feed.
Mini: ¼ cup twice daily
Pony: ½ cup twice daily
Horse: ¾ cup twice daily
Large Horse: 1 cup twice daily
Though once considered a rare issue seen primarily in older performance horses, increasing research and awareness have revealed that DSLD is more widespread and complex than originally thought, with systemic implications affecting multiple soft tissues throughout the body - not just the limbs.
This condition refers to the development of bony growth or scarring around the pastern or coffin joint, usually as a response to joint strain, bruising, or unresolved inflammation. Over time, the affected tissue lays down a ring of bone in an attempt to stabilise the area - a natural process, but one that can compromise soundness and cause discomfort if not supported properly.
There are two types of PSSM. Both types have an abnormal type of glycogen staining in muscle biopsies, and the types can be distinguished by genetic testing. At present there is not a specific genetic test for type 2 PSSM and scientists do not have conclusive evidence of an inherited gene.

Tendon & Bone awesomeness!
This product is great! My mare ripped open her side and smashed the tip of her hip. The recovery has been so much speedier than expected, with my horse’s wound knitting together quickly, showing improvement in her physical function (movement, balance and strength) much quicker than vet advised. After running out after 6 weeks use she had about a week without until the new order was delivered, I noticed her recovery stalled and she was more lame, within a few days back in this product she was back healing and growing in strength. I really credit this product!

Significantly improved the time and outcome
My 3 year olg gelding severely tore one of his collateral ligaments. The vet advised that he would be 12 months off, with the possibility of hock surgery and so forth. I followed the program and products as advised by Cath McDowell including the Bone and Tendon. He was scanned after 4 months of box rest. The Vet said the repair, while not complete at that time, was remarkable. No need for surgery, no need for 12 months off. At the end of 6 months of box rest, he has been turned out, though the vet said I could have worked him. Amazing.

Tendon & Bone - Highly Recommended
I have one of my mares on Tendon & Bone, after she sustained an injury to one of her cannon bones which abscessed. Since being on Tendon & Bone, she is now sound again and the hardening around the injury site is reducing. Very happy with this product and the results we're seeing - thank you!

Nasofrontal stuture
I originally brought this for my mare suffering with A periostitis of the nasofrontal suture. It was quite a large lump when I started her on this now it has gone down not completely but has certainly gotten smaller since starting her on this.

Great product
We initially tried this product last year as part of the Stringhalt program. I think it was an important part of his recovery. This year i have used if with my mare after she needed surgery to remove her broken splint bone.
Now it is an important part of their ongoing health and wellbeing - and they love it!

Stifle lock and itch
My mare had stifle lock issues and Queensland itch. The tendon and bone has made a huge improvement to my mare, she is now running around freely and her itch has cleared up and her coat is so shiny in winter. Although I have also relocated I feel this product has made such a huge difference that she may finally get a saddle on and be rideable. Thankyou McDowells for great products.

I believe in this product
I have been using the Tendon and Bone bucket for over a year now and my horses show it physically and mentally. I live in the US and due to shipping issues, I can no longer get the prepared bucket. I will have to use the Tendon and Bone activator and trying hard to locate Millet seed. This product is completely natural and full of the good stuff.
