Chronic inner ear infections do plague some dogs. This is serious condition and can lead to hearing loss.
Acute otitis media is an infection that produces pus, fluid and inflammation within the ear.
These symptoms are frequently associated with signs of upper respiratory infection. Severe ear infections may cause the eardrum to rupture. The pus will then start to drain out into the ear canal.
My Chronic Ear Infection mix contains 7 herbs, 4 of which are directed at rehabilitating past damage. The others are to clear the current infection, the waste products of past infection, and to reduce over-sensitivity. In cases where there has been a great deal of antibiotic therapy Colloidal silver may be required to deal with resistant infection created by the exposure to antibiotics.
The best approach is to start on a course of the Chronic Ear Infection Mix. The herbs used in this mix are Echinacea, garlic, Rosehips,Thyme, Violet Leaves Fenugreek, Yarrow as well as the Bach Flowers Wild Rose, Olive. Chronic ear infections are not a difficult problem to treat successfully with herbs but you need to follow a program for 6 months or more, allowing the herbs to support normal healing processes and to permanently stop the cause of the infection.
